Nandini, Divyanshi and Ankolika lift trophies
Indore, May 25: Nandini Saha of West Bengal defeated Maharashtra’s Hardee Patel 4-2 in the final of the Youth Girls Under-15 to hold aloft the trophy in the Central Zone Championships that concluded at the Abhay Prashal here today.
But the win for the Bengal girl came under trying circumstances. After the first extended game that tested her mentally and physically, the little girl added another misery when she lost the second game to go 0-2 down.
Punit, Sarthak and Akash won the titles
Indore, May 24: Punit Biswas of West Bengal defeated state mate Oishik Ghosh 4-3 in the final of the Youth Boys Under-15 to lift the cup in the Central Zone Championships at the Abhay Prashal here today.
The final had the usual excitement and some twists to the tale before Biswas overcame Ghosh in the decisive seventh game. In fact, Biswas should have won with a lot to spare, particularly after running into a 3-1 lead despite beginning on a wrong note.<
