Jaipur, February 18: Rahul Chopra of Delhi bagged his maiden Men Singles gold in 40+ category after beating Vikas Mahajan of Punjab 10-12, 11-7, 7-11, 18-16, 11-6 in what proved to be the toughest final in the 25th Veterans National Table Tennis Championships at the SMS Indoor Stadium here today.

Maharashtra lead qualifiers' chart, Gujarat just behind


Jaipur, February 16: As many as 15 players from Maharashtra qualified in Men singles 40+ category today to enter the second stage, which is the main draw, that gets underway from tomorrow in the 25th Veterans National Table Tennis Championships at the SMS Indoor Stadium here.

Jaipur, February 15: The presence of former national champion Arup Basak gave the necessary edge as he heled West Bengal beat IA & AD-A 3-1 and lift the Men 40+ team trophy in the 25th Veterans National Table Tennis Championships at the SMS Indoor Stadium here today.

Gujarat A women wear 40+ crown


Jaipur, February 14: Gujarat A’s women”s 40+ squad, which consists of Sinaloa Joshi, Prasunna Parekh and Neha Patel, defeated Karnataka’s A team 3-0 to win the crown. Donald downed Mamatha Jayaraman 11-8,8-11, 11-8, 11-7 to provide the lead and Prasunna consolidated with her win over Samina Rukadikar (11-13, 11-7, 11-7, 11-2).
