India's ITTF Coaching Program Marches Forward

For the second year in a row, India is hosting several ITTF Coaching Courses. In 2012, three ITTF-PTT Level 1 Courses were held around the country

 

    1st was in Ajmer


    2nd was in Indore


    3rd was in bangluru


which has resulted in some 56 coaches achieving ITTF Certification, in India

 

This year, at the MCC Indoor Stadium Ajmer where the only Petroleum Table Tennis Academy in the country is giving shape to future of Indian paddlers,

 

is playing host to two ITTF Courses. An ITTF-PTT Level 1 was completed yesterday it was from October 21-25 and India’s first ITTF Level 2 Course will run from October 28-November 2nd.

 

This program is the result of a unique collaboration between the Table Tennis Federation of India, the ITTF, and Tenvic. Tenvic, which is an Indian Sports Marketing Company, is handling all the organization of the courses.

 

The just finished ITTF-PTT Level 1 Course was well attended with 24 coaches participating. Through out the country mainly from Kerala, Tamilnadu odisha, Maharashtra ,Bengal, Gujrat , Rajasthan, Delhi , Hariyana etc. They greatly enjoyed the course and also the excellent facilities of the MCC Indoor stadium Ajmer, which features an excellent training hall, AC classroom, OHP , wifi ,hotel, Canteen, etc

 

Conducting both of the courses in Ajmer is Mr Richard McAfee, from the USA. Coach McAfee is making his second visit to India as he also conducted all three previous ITTF Courses held in 2012. The course was honored to have TTFI’s Secretary General , Treasurer ATTU and ITTF Board Member, Mr Choudary haulted specially for another day to meet encourage and give a pep talk to the upcoming coaches. A special thanks must also also to Rushill (Tenvic) and Dr Atul Dubey for all their hard work in making all the local arrangements and logistic support for the course.

 

One course down and now India’s first ever ITTF Level 2 Course to conduct for the experienced, Coach McAfee. This first course filled up quickly with the maximum 20 participants.with more then 15 in waiting list

 

The ITTF Coaching Education Program is quickly setting a new bar for excellence in India and India’s Coaches are rising to the occasion.
