TTFI deputed a Korean Coach to impart training to Gujarat Paddlers

 

 

Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) deputed a Korean Coach to impart coaching to the Gujarat paddlers at the Kachchh District Table Tennis Association, Indoor Stadium, Adipur, in Gandhidham from June 1 to 10



Apart from all top-ranked players from Gujarat including India No.4 Harmeet Desai and Gujarat No.1 Devesh Karia, more than 60 players from Bengal, Jharkhand, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Porbandar and Kutch participated in the camp.


Gujarat women’s No.1 Frenaz Chipia, Gujarat No.3 Nirja Trivedi, Gujarat youth boys No.1 Harsh Sachnandani, Gujarat youth boys No.3 Bhavin Desai and Gujarat Junior ranked players like Harsh Thakre, Vidhi Upadhyay, Ishaan Hingorani, Dimple Chandnani also participated in the camp. During the 10-day camp, the Korean coach, apart from teaching finer table tennis techniques mainly concentrated on physical training and fitness.


Gandhidham has hosted many national level tournaments in the past with makeshift venues. They hosted 74th Cadet and sub-junior national table tennis championships in Gandhidham for the first time at the KDTTA indoor stadium in January, 2013.
