WORLD CLASS TRAINING FACILITY  UNVEILED IN INDORE
 

“Before coming to India I was not knowing much  about Indian Table Tennis , but in past few days after meeting  the players and officials I can certainly say that future of Indian Table Tennis is very very bright” said  five time World Champion and European champion  Mr. Peter Karlsson. Mr. Karlsson was speaking at the inaugural function of first Coaching camp in India in the new International Coaching centre at Abhay Prashal, at Indore today

Peter Karlsson Training Camp  is organised by M.P.  Table Tennis Association   at Abhay Prashal Stadium Indore under the auspices of Table Tennis Federation of India and with support of STAG International. The training camp is being held  from 27th June to 03rd July 2011.

Mr. Karlsson further said that, it has to be ensured by parents that sports should be made mandatory feature in life. It helps children to increase  their physical and mental ability. “I am excited to see the spirit of Indore, there is lot of talent available   in India and this country can produce high quality of table tennis players”, he added.

Speaking on the occasion , Shri Dhanraj Choudhary, Secretary General TTFI said that, today is an important day of Indian Table Tennis, the beginning of a New Ear in Table Tennis, because Indore has been recognised as “HOT SPOT” ITTF training centre and in near future foregin coaches and players can avail the faciltiy of coaching at Abhay Prashal Stadium Indore which is one of the best training facilities in India. A long dream , coming true. Who knows, one day , the champions will emerge from this centre to keep high the standard of the game in India.

One could feel the pulse and energy as 72 players from all over the country are participating in this camp on 24 tables. 10 coaches will also be groomed during this one week camp. Eight times National Table Tennis champion and Arjuna awardee, Kamlesh Mehta is supporting the training camp.

The camp is organised in an excellant manner, with transportation, accreditation, boarding and lodging all taken care well.  Thanks to the officials who are working hard behind in organising the camp.
