Mudit, Tanushree make waves at Amman

 

India's Mudit Dani and Tanushree Das Gupta made waves at Amman as they entered the semifinals of the Junior Boys and Girls singles, respectively, at the Jordan Junior & Cadet Open yesterday evening.

Boys show improvement, finish sixth in Asian Juniors

 

The Indian boys, despite losing to Korea in the quarterfinals, have done themselves some sort a favour in the team event when they beat Singapore 3-0 in second stage of the 21st Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships, being held in Kuala Lumpur, today morning.

14-member team leaves for Asian Junior TT

 

A 14-member team, comprising seven boys and seven girls, will be participating in the 21st Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships, to be held at the Malaysian capital from July 22 to July 26. The team, accompanied by three coaches, Sandeep Gupta, Vijay Singh and Ms Jyoti Shah, will leave for Kuala Lumpur later tonight.

Diya in World Cadet Challenge team

 

Twelve-year-old Diya Parag Chitale from Mumbai has been selected for the 2015 ITTF World Cadet Challenge to be held at Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheik from October 23 to 31.

Diya wins bronze, can go beyond Hopes

 

Twelve-year-old Diya Chitale from Mumbai defeated Elizabet Abraamian of Russia to win the bronze medal in the ITTF World Hopes Week and Challenge held at Shanghai last week.

The 2010 CWG at New Delhi had paved the way for India doing consistently well in table tennis at international meets, throwing up juniors like Soumyajit Ghosh, Harmeet Desai, G.
