Suhana claims U-15 title in Slovenia

 

Taking her cue from Payas Jain, who claimed the Under-17 Boys Singles title, Suhana Saini joined the gold hunt when she defeated Binaca Mei Rosu of Romania in the final of the Under-15 Girls in the WTT Contender that concluded in Otocec, Slovenia, yesterday.

Payas Jain, the reigning National Junior Boys and Youth Boys champion, made most of what was his first competition in six months to claim the Under-17 Boys singles crown in the WTT Youth Contender event in Otocec, Slovenia, on Sunday night.

Bhavina finishes with historic silver

 

Bhavina Patel ended her maiden Paralympic Games journey on a contended note, finishing with a silver medal in the table tennis (Class 4) events in Tokyo this morning.

Former GSTTA secretary Sangtani is no more

 

Haresh Sitaldas Sangtani, former secretary of Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA) and a former vice-president of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), breathed his last in Ahmedabad this morning, following a prolonged illness. He, who turned 62 a couple of days ago, is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Sonal for Tokyo Games

 

Sonal Ben Patel will be the second para Table Tennis player, representing India In the Paralympic Games, to be held in Tokyo from August 24. Sonal, in Class 3, was allotted entry from bipertite slot by the ITTF. Bhavina Ben Patel was the first athlete to secure her place fir the Tokyo Games.
