Sharath, Amalraj and Poulomi enter main draw

 

DOHA, May 11: Achanta Sharath Kamal, keeping his slate clean, defeated Kazakhstan's Kirill Gerassimenkno 4-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7) to top group 7 and enter the round of 32 at the World Olympic Qualification Championships here this evening. And joining him in the main draw was Anthony Amalraj who, despite losing to Wu Chi Chi 2-4 (5-11, 18-16, 11-6, 11-7, 4-11, 11-8), finished behind the Chinese Taipei paddler, who won all his matches in group 2.

Junior girls win silver in Spain
