India's Abhishek Yadav and Suthirtha Mukherjee joined the ranks of those who made the cut for 2014 Youth Olympics Games, to be held at Nanjing (China) in August. The ongoing Asian Qualification championships here offers four spots each and the two Indians have grabbed the first opportunities.

Promising Suthirtha Mukherjee made her cut for 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics Games beating here at the Asian Qualification tournament, beating the Malaysia’s An Qi Angeline Tang 4-0 (11-5, 11-4, 11-2, 11-9 in what turned out to be a one-sided affair.

Padasak Tanviriyavechakul from Thailand and Suthirtha Mukherjee from India emerged champions in the Junior Boys and Junior Girls sections of the 2014 Indian Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis Championships at the Mukherjee Stadium today.

Utkarsh, Anirban enter quarters, show fighting qualities

 

Padasak Tanviriyavechakul from Thailand has been top-seeded in the Junior Boys singles while it is his compatriot Tamolwan Khetkhuan who has been accorded the top slot in the Junior Girls singles in the ongoing 2014 Indian Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis Championships at the Mukherjee Stadium today.
