Sharath-led team leaves for World Championships

 

A 10-member team, comprising five men and five women, will represent India in the World Championships, to be held at Kuala Lumpur between February 28 and March 6.

Mouma most capped Indian on world stage

 

Veteran paddler, Mouma Das, re-wrote history to become the first and only Indian player to have the highest-capped with 15 appearances in the World Table Tennis Championships along with Thailand’s Komwon Nanthana from the Asian continent. Both the paddlers have represented their country 15 times each, the maximum by any Asian in both sections.

I could have wished you all before but, as you know, we were all busy preparing and conducting the nationals, one after another. I was waiting for the senior nationals to get over at Hyderabad. I once again wish you all the best in the New Year and the new season.

Update of LARC 2015B Immediate suspension of Efforter racket coverings

 

The ITTF Executive Committee has decided to suspend all Efforterracket coverings from LARC (List of authorised racket coverings),with immediate effect on 4 January 2016.

Pretenders were separated from real contenders as Rajasthan's Mayur School, and North Bengal's Siliguri Girls High School moved into the Senior Boys and Senior Girls semifinals of the 11Even Sports Inter-School National Table Tennis Championships, which was inaugurated at the Abhay Prashal here today.

Rajasthan's Mayur School, spearheaded by Manav Thakkar and Anukram Jain, looks like the team to beat in the first-ever 11Even Sports Inter-School National Table Tennis Championships, organized under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India and beginning at the Abhay Prashal, from tomorrow.

Hon'ble Sports Minister Nanubhai Vanavi unveiled tobu, the mascot of the Avadh 20th Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships-2015, to be held between December 16 and 21, and also the logo at a function at the Science Centre here today.
