Manav Thakkar beat Feng Yi-Hsin of Chinese Taipei 11-7, 8-11, 11-4, 9-11, 14-12, 11-1 to enter the Junior Boys singles quarterfinals in the 2018 World Junior Championships at Bendigo, Australia, today.

Manav wins a double as other Indians shine in Portugal Open

 

Top-seeded Manav Thakkar finished the ITTF World Junior Circuit on a high as he claimed the Junior Boys Singles title and Doubles gold at the 2018 Portugal Junior and Cadet Open in Guimarães on Wednesday night. 

Raegan settles for silver, Vishal wins gold in Egypt

 

Raegan Alburquerque, the No.4 seed, failed to go past the final hurdle as China's Ding Shixian beat the Indian 11-8, 10-12, 13-11, 11-9, 13-11 to win the Junior Boys singles title in the 2018 Egypt Junior and Cadet Open in Sharm El Sheikh last night.

Archana Girish Kamath became the first Indian to enter the quarterfinals in women singles at the 3rd Youth Olympics Games when she beat Hong Kong’s Lee Ka Yee 4-2 (14-12, 14-12, 9-11, 8-11, 12-10, 15-13) in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
