Vadodara, January 20: Local boy Manush kept his date with destiny to beat Sudhanshu Grover of Delhi 4-2 in the men's singles final of the UTT National Ranking Championships at the Sama Indoor Complex here today.

 

In women's singles, Moumita Dutta of the Railways decimated Archana Kamath of PSPB 4-1 to wear her maiden crown at this level.

Vadodara, January 18: Punit Biswas from West Bengal and Subhankrita Datta of the National Centre for Excellence (NCOE), Kolkata, claimed the Under-15 Boys and Girls titles in the UTT National Ranking Championships at the Sama Indoor Complex here today.

Sahil, Bhoota deservingly wear U-13 crowns


Vadodara, January 17: Sahil Rawat of PSPB Academy and Bhoota Raina of Maharashtra lifted the Under-13 Boys and Girls trophies in the UTT National Ranking Championships at the Sama Indoor Complex here today.

 

Without breaking a sweat, Sahil defeated Aditya Das of West Bengal 11-3, 11-8, 11-7, and Bhoota accounted for Ananya Muralidharan of Tamil Nadu, winning the final 11-3, 11-5, 11-3.

Veer and Saturya claim U-11 titles


Vadodara, January 16: Veer Balmiki of Uttar Pradesh made short work of Prateek Tulsani of Maharashtra in the Youth Boys Under-11 final to lift the trophy with a 3-1 win in the UTT National Ranking Championships at the Sama Indoor Complex here today. His efforts fetched the UP boy Rs. 8,000, and Prateek got half of the winner's purse.
