Lankan Ranasinghe denies India Perfect 10


New Delhi, June 19: Sri Lanka’s Uday Imesh Ranasinghe denied India a clean sweep was he emerged champion beating India’s Lalrinpuia 4-2 in the Junior Boys final on the concluding day of the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships at the Talkatora Stadium here today. Incidentally, this was Sri Lanka’s first ever gold in the championships.

Indian paddlers complete sweep of team titles


New Delhi, June 18: India, as expected, claimed both the Junior Boys and Cadet Girls team championship titles at the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships at the Talkatora Stadium here today.

Indian contingent which bagged 10 Gold medals in the last South Asian Championships at Islamabad


New Delhi: India will host the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship in New Delhi in June 2015.

 

The tournament will be held at the Talkatora Indoor stadium from June 17 to 19. The tournament is a qualifier for the South Asian Region countries to take part in the Asian Junior championship which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 22 to 26. Competition will be held in Junior and Cadet teams, singles and doubles.
