Master D. Vishwa- A Tribute by the Committee of Administrators (TTFI)

As George Fabricius said, “Death comes to all. But great achievements build a monument which shall endure until the sun grows cold.”

Master D. Vishwa was, is, and continues to be an inspiration. He was born on 4th January, 2004 to Mr. Deenadayalan and Mrs. Anuradha, as a bright child in a great family, to his very very proud parents. He was a child who did everything he set his mind to; An inspiration for his Determination, and his Dreams.

He grew up watching his sister Raveenaa Deenadayalan playing Table Tennis and became interested in the sport, and there was no looking back ever since. Right from his early years, he always worked hard with a dream to be the finest Table Tennis player of the country. And looking at his achievements, it is apparent that he would have been the finest in the country, and was indeed, one of the best amongst his contemporaries, and the finest junior to have played the seniors tournament.

Master D. Vishwa was an outstanding Indian player of his generation, going unbeaten in International and National Level Competitions throughout the short span of time.

He held the title of India’s No. 1 in Junior Boys category for two consecutive years – 2019 and 2020, Worlds No. 46 in the Under 15 category for the year 2019, National Champion & India’s No. 1 for in Sub-Junior Boys category for the year 2018 amongst other accolades.
In the international level, Master D. Vishwa won Bronze Medal in the ITTF Golden series Hong Kong World junior & Cadet Open, 2019 for both Cadet Team and Cadet Doubles, won Gold Medal in the ITTF World Junior Circuit Serbia Junior and Cade Open for Cadet Team to name a few of his International Achievements.

One can go on and on about this brilliant young chap.

He continues to live-on, in his dreams, his achievements and as a North Star inspiring many others. He continues to live-on around us; in sport and in life.

In this, I’m reminded of these lines by Mary Elizabeth Frye

“I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.”

Master D. Vishwa lives on.

And as a tribute to him, which shall last till the sun grows cold, I today, on behalf of Mr. Chetan Mittal Sr. Adv, Mr. Surendra Dev Mudgil , my Co Administrators on the Committee of Administrators of TTFI, and my own behalf as well as the entire TTFI family and fraternity announce the initiation of an Award which shall henceforth be awarded at every Senior National to the most promising Junior playing in the Senior Nationals to perpetuate the memory of our dearest D Vishwa.

To inspire and empower our youngsters, the trophy shall be called the "D. Vishwa Trophy for the Most Promising Player of the Year”. It shall be awarded at the Senior Nationals every year to a player below 20 years of age - playing in the seniors league to celebrate all the rockstars and prodigies like D. Vishwa - who punch above their weight, face ostensibly insurmountable odds, and emerge triumphant.

Thank you!
