Juniors rewarded, chosen for Gautemala event


All those young paddlers, who performed well in the recent South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships held last month in Delhi, were deservingly chosen to represent India at the Gautemala Junior and Cadet Open ITTF Global Junior circuit event to be held between August 7 and 10.

The Indian Table Tennis Federation's (TTFI) secretary-genral Dhanraj Choudhary was again returned as the Honorary Treasurer of the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) during the General Council Meeting of the Asian body held at here yesterday. Cai Zhenhua of China and Tony Yue of Hong were elected as president and secretary-general respectively.

Indian women finish runners-up in First Division


Indian womenís team secured runners-up position in the first division of the team championships after they went down to Malaysia 1-3 at the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Busan on Tuesday evening.

10 paddlers for Asian meet at Busan


A 10-member team, spearheaded by Achanta Sharah Kamal in the menís section and national champion K. Shamini in the womenís section, will be seen in action during the Asian Championships at Busan, between June 30 and July 7.

Indian paddlers crash out


The Indian paddlers crashed out of the ongoing Japan Open Super Series event at Yokohoma as both Achanta Sharath Kamal and Soumyajit Ghosh bowed out in the men's singles events.
